La Moraleja
Madrid, Spain, 2024
The garden has been designed in harmony with the architecture of the house, which is sober and elegant in style. Planting is organized in a gradual way: closer to the house the composition is more formal, while further away it becomes more natural, adding seasonality and creating areas to explore.
In front of the house, a low mass of cotoneaster provides a transition to the lawn. The lawn, set on a slope, has been arranged in stepped terraces. The levels are highlighted with white lines that emphasize the changes in height and bring visual rhythm, turning the surface into an integral part of the design.
Project carried out in collaboration with the Vicens & Ramos Architecture Studio.
