Las Tenadas
Madrid, Spain, 2014
The garden is organized into two large areas of compacted gravel, shaded by acacias that provide light, filtered shade. Broad planting strips surround the spaces, offering year-round visual interest and adding texture to the layout. The loose planting contrasts with the straight lines of the design, balancing structure with a sense of openness. Rectangular ponds reflect light, and the sound of water adds a cooling effect, creating a pleasant and practical environment.
