Toledo

Toledo, Spain, 2019

Located within an oak woodland, this garden is designed in response to the local climate and landscape. Old stone walls were restored and large granite boulders were incorporated into the planting, strengthening its connection to the site. It is a low-water garden, with shrubs and herbaceous plants that flower in succession and attract birds, butterflies, and other wildlife.

In the patio, custom planters solve the level difference between the houses and integrate the access stairs, turning a practical need into part of the design.

The garden blends with the surrounding landscape and flows into the natural meadows we sowed, extending the local vegetation and emphasizing its Mediterranean character.
