The landscape design studio of Fernando Martos was founded in 2005 in Madrid.
It is a dynamic and multidisciplinary studio composed of a highly qualified team of architects, engineers, and landscape designers.
Fernando is personally involved in both the design and execution of the project. He conveys his ideas to the studio which, after a very careful and detailed process, brings those ideas to life.
Fernando Martos’ working method is based on maintaining a direct and close dialogue with the client throughout the entire garden design and construction process.
Our years of experience have allowed us to work in countries around the world such as Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Italy, China, Saudi Arabia, and the Dominican Republic, collaborating with the best international architects and interior designers.
The studio is capable of designing very versatile gardens since it has experience with private gardens—urban, rural, or coastal—as well as gardens for hotels, large offices, and terraces.
He is considered one of the pioneers in introducing a more contemporary garden and planting design.
The plant research behind each project is immense. A very careful selection is fundamental to finding a beautiful dialogue among the plants. Creating a balanced color palette and an interesting composition through the changes of the seasons is the goal. All these factors are essential to achieving a garden that remains attractive year-round.

Fernando and Clara met in 2012. Their mutual interest in gardening, nature, and animals became the foundation of both their personal and professional connection.
Although coming from a fine arts background, in 2015 Clara created Spain’s first company specializing in pots called MatPot. She also works with Fernando, and together they have seen the studio grow, each developing their own role while continuously supporting each other throughout their journey.

Fernando Martos began his career by creating his own gardens. Gradually, the team of gardeners grew until today, where he has a qualified team that carries out landscaping work from the very beginning.
In every project, we care deeply not only about the client’s requirements and the architectural lines, but also about the environment, climate, and other elements that directly affect the garden.
We always strive to integrate the garden into the landscape. To achieve this, we use materials that are suited to the place and blend with the architecture.
